概要
日本と違って
欧米では精神科の病院へ普通に行って
カウンセリングを受けたり薬の処方をしてもらったり
するそうです。
それがコロナのロックダウンで
病院に行けなくなりました。
また直接人と会う機会が激減して
精神的な不安が高まりました。
その結果
メンタル・ヘルスに関するアプリ群が
救世主のように登場して
大人気に。
企業価値数十億ドルの
ユニコーン企業も多数現れました。
ですが
そのアプリ群が玉石混淆と言うか
相談者のプライバシーに無頓着と言うか
相当やばかったのです。
例えば
フィンランド発のVastaamoというアプリは
精神科医が相談内容をアップロードする際に
匿名化も暗号化も行いませんでした。
そのためにハッカーに情報を盗まれて
3万人に脅迫メールが届く騒ぎになりました。
不倫とかペドフィリア嗜好の悩みとか
ばれたら破滅級の秘密です。
その会社は倒産したため
何の補償もありません。
別のアプリでは、
相談者の個人情報を
広告会社に売り渡していて・・・
という
世にも恐ろしい話を
警戒する意味を含めて
